I like to record my classes to ensure I don’t miss anything, but I’ve had a few complaints from students about having to download the lectures from Google Drive. They prefer to watch them directly in a browser. What are some better platforms I can use to upload my lectures so they can stream them without downloading?
You could create a YouTube channel and upload the videos as ‘unlisted.’ This way, only people with the link can access them, and they won’t need to download anything. Vimeo is another good option. Also, what LMS do you use? If it’s Canvas, you might have access to Canvas Studio, which is great for this.
@SarahBrown
Thanks for the suggestions! I like the idea of using YouTube. I’ll look into Canvas Studio too.
YouTube is definitely a solid choice for this kind of thing!

I’ve heard that! It seems easy for students to access.
Another option is to use platforms like Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams. Both allow video integration where students can watch without downloading.

I hadn’t considered those! I’ll check them out for sure. Thanks!
Consider using a dedicated lecture capture tool like Panopto or Kaltura. They’re designed for educational content and make it easy for students to watch without downloading.

Those sound promising! I’ll research those options as well. Appreciate the help!
