I am interested in finding out what the average pay range is for an eLearning specialist with five years of experience, but nearly twenty years of experience in web and flash creation.
The problem is that I recently had a fruitful interview via a recruiting agency for a sizable corporation. The position was initially centered on eLearning. But the more details from the interviewer and recruiter emerged, the more was talked about what it meant to be an LMS administrator.
I am wondering if this income is sufficient considering that we were discussing between 85k and 90k if I worked in my state and up to 95k if I had to go to the metropolis. It is a respectable range. However, as I learn more about this role, I am curious about the new responsibilities that are being disclosed. I have to pay additional taxes if I have to commute.
LMS admin work is normally done by a coordinator and will not increase your earnings. What it will do is add to your daily, quarterly, and yearly workload as you run reports, troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade the system. You appear to be achieving above average results for only e-learning development skills. For what you’re getting, I would anticipate senior-level ID experience in addition to e-learning.
Your résumé and the resume of my companion rhyme. He has worked with Flash and code for more than 20 years, although most of that was done as a hobby before he began working with eLearning. He has 10 years of expertise with eLearning. Since he works as a contractor, his annual income is subject to change, but right now he makes about $100,000 without putting in a ton of overtime.
