Take a look at LearnDash and the Buddyboss theme.
We mainly use Buddyboss for designing the theme, but they also provide an option to easily convert your LearnDash/Buddyboss site into a native mobile app for different platforms. This could be useful if you’re interested in it later.
If you enjoy self-hosting, I suggest trying out Opigno. I made a Docker container for it, and when you use it with a database container, you’ll be all set to go. You can find it here: Docker Hub - dcwestra/opigno.
