I’ve been thinking about picking up a new language and came across Preply as an option. Has anyone here tried learning through this platform? How was your experience with the tutors and the lessons? Any pros and cons would be super helpful.
I used Preply to brush up on my Spanish and had a great experience! The tutors are flexible, and you can find ones that fit your budget and schedule. Just be clear about your goals with your tutor upfront.
@Raymond2
Thanks, that sounds promising! Did you find it more helpful than traditional classes?

For sure! It felt way more personal, and I could focus on what I really wanted to improve. Plus, it’s all online so that flexibility was a big plus for me.
I started French on Preply recently. It’s been good, but make sure you research the tutors. Some are more structured while others are casual, so find a style that works for you.

Good advice! I think I’d need someone a bit more structured, especially as a beginner.
I used Preply before my trip to Japan! It was helpful for conversational basics, and I liked that I could practice speaking with a native tutor.

That’s exactly what I’m hoping for. Were the lessons very intensive or more relaxed?
@Amanda
They were fairly relaxed but focused. I think they can adjust to how intensive you want it to be.
