How do you help students stay engaged between lessons?

I’ve been trying out a cool way to keep language learners engaged between classes. I’m making personalized audio podcasts from our lesson content! It’s been super helpful for revisiting vocabulary and boosting listening skills naturally. If you want to give it a shot, here’s how it works: go to langmagic.com, log in or sign up, and look for the ‘Create Audio-Podcast’ button in the left menu. Fill out the Google Form that pops up and you’ll get your podcast via email in a few hours. It’s been awesome for my students! Let me know if you try it out…

That sounds interesting! How long are the podcasts usually?

They’re usually around 10-15 minutes! Just enough to cover some vocab without being too overwhelming.

I’ve never thought about doing this… what kind of content do you include?

Mainly vocabulary and phrases we covered in class. It helps reinforce what they’ve learned!

Totally! They find it fun and it makes practice feel less like work lol.

I’m curious about the tech side… how do you record the audio?

I just use a simple recording app on my phone! Super easy to edit and send.

What if the students don’t get it? Like, how do you explain it?

I usually just walk them through the steps. It’s pretty straightforward, but I’m always here if they have questions!

I might give this a try… any tips for beginners?
