Which is better: SAP Litmos or Cornerstone for e-learning platforms?

Hey guys, I’m comparing SAP Litmos and Cornerstone for our e-learning platform. Any firsthand experiences with these?

Here are some things I’m curious about:

  • Ready-made content availability
  • Content creation capabilities
  • Ease of uploading content
  • Integrating with ERP systems (preferably through flat file feed or API)
  • Administering the platform
  • Quality of technical support
  • Support and training during setup
  • Reporting capabilities

Also, any other insights you might have?

Let me know how many users you’ve managed within the portal too. We’re close to making a decision, so real experiences would be super helpful. Thanks!

I don’t have a lot of experience with SAP, but Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD) is a cumbersome, outdated, and frustrating platform.

Agreed. They’ve been slow to incorporate HTML 5 features. For instance, their “Development Plans” section was recently updated, but initially lacked search functionality. It was only after widespread complaints that they finally added it back, though the implementation still requires users to click a “search” button rather than simply hitting enter.

After reading other responses, I wanted to add more to my answer. I’ve had experience with various HR technology suites for managing learning, and all of them have been subpar. If you want a better user experience and administration, I suggest looking for a company that specializes solely in LMS/LXP solutions. These companies tend to focus more on enhancing learning functionality. I’m happy to recommend a few if you want to discuss further.
