Which is better, LinkedIn Learning or Pluralsight?

Hey guys,

I’m searching for a subscription-based platform to learn a mix of tech and creative skills to boost my professional profile. I’m particularly interested in:

  • User Experience (like design, research, prototyping)
  • Product management
  • Web development (things like HTML, CSS, JS)
  • Basic data analytics
  • Customer Experience

I’m stuck between choosing Pluralsight and LinkedIn Learning.

I’ve tried Pluralsight before and liked the video lessons, quality of content, and how you can follow customized paths.

I haven’t used LinkedIn Learning yet, but it seems like a better version of Udemy, which I’m not so sure about. I’m not sure about the quality of the content there, but I do like that it gives you a certificate of completion that you can show on your LinkedIn profile. So, it feels like completing a course there might be more beneficial.

Do any of you have good or bad experiences with these platforms? Or do you have another recommendation?

Price isn’t a problem because my company will pay for it, so don’t worry about that. As long as it’s not much more expensive than Pluralsight (which is currently £146 for Black Friday) or LinkedIn (£180).

Ultimately, the best platform depends on your specific learning goals. Don’t be afraid to try the free trials of both and see which one feels like the better fit for you *Pluralsight: Great for web dev (HTML, CSS, JS) & data analysis with clear video lessons and learning paths. Ideal for programmers or IT pros.

*LinkedIn Learning: Strong in business skills like UX design, product management & customer experience. Offers a mix of videos, quizzes, and articles. Certificates can go on your LinkedIn profile! Great for well-rounded professional development.

We switched from using LinkedIn, an excellent license for my firm, to O’Reily, which I enjoy for the combination of live lectures, learning routes, and book and video selections.

I like that LinkedIn Learning integrates certificates with your profile. That could be a nice bonus for networking

I believe that Pluralsight is better suited for my needs. While LinkedIn Learning offers a broader range of courses across various categories, Pluralsight excels in providing high-quality, in-depth courses in technology and IT, which aligns with my interests. Additionally, Pluralsight offers hands-on learning experiences through real projects and cloud labs, which I find more engaging and effective. Pluralsight’s instructors are highly skilled and passionate about teaching, making the learning experience more enjoyable and interactive.

LinkedIn definitely. Most people’s favorite
