Hi guys, I’m looking for some advice. I’m trying to build a paid 3-hour educational course to sell on a WIX website. I need features like certificates and a course timer, so some of the course builders I’ve seen won’t work for me. I tried using the WIX course builder, but it feels pretty limited. Has anyone successfully built a course using WIX? Should I consider another platform for building the course and then integrate it into my WIX site? The course will mostly be text-based, with maybe a few 5-10 minute videos and some multiple-choice quizzes. I’m not very tech-savvy and found WordPress with the LearnDash plugin too complicated, so I moved to WIX. Thank you!
If you don’t want to go through extra steps, you might just password protect your site to sell access. But honestly, WIX may not be the best fit for this. You could look into Learnworlds, but that would mean rebuilding your site there.

Thanks for the feedback
You should check out TrainerCentral. It lets you upload images, videos, PDFs, presentations, and quizzes as part of your course. Plus, you can create custom e-certificates with unique IDs. TrainerCentral also has a no-code website builder, similar to WIX, which helps you design your entire site, market your courses, and handle payments all in one place.

You might want to try Teachable along with any website builder. I suggest builder.io or Framer. If you want a setup that’s ready for you, check out https://onlinecoursehost.com or The #1 Learning Management System | Odoo, they are good options too.

WIX could actually work for your needs. You can create a free Notion course site and password protect it for members, which is simple. Keep in mind that learners usually prefer video content over text in courses, unless it’s for specific fields like engineering or medicine. I found LifterLMS on WordPress easy to use if you’re familiar with WordPress.

TY! I had trouble with WordPress using LearnDash, so I gave up on that.
Instead of the WIX course builder, consider using Cognispark AI Course Creator with Paradiso LMS. Paradiso integrates well with WIX and offers features like certificates, course timers, and quizzes. It’s user-friendly, even if you’re not great with tech. This option gives you much more flexibility than WIX’s own builder.
I, along with several others, have been using LightSpeed VT, and it has worked well for my needs. You might want to check it out too here.
