The dealership is asking $159 for the service. I haven’t paid yet and think I can find a cheaper option elsewhere. Any suggestions?
I went ahead with it. They gave me a $24 discount, bringing the total to $135. I also got an oil change, tire rotation, and rear tint fixed (these were included in a package I bought with the car, so they were free), and then $135 for the brake service.

Mmmmh…In the end, it seems like you received a good deal on the brake work. The amount that the dealership charged, $135, is within the normal range (about $150-$300 per axle) for brake service. The shop had quoted $159.
Nowadays, the dealer’s objective is 150 or less, which is a bit high. It used to be between 100 and 120.
