What are the best local LMS options for SCORM content development?

What are some recommended local LMS solutions for developing SCORM content?

I’m new to SCORM and currently creating custom SCORM content using React. As I’m getting started, I find it quite cumbersome to make changes, build the application, zip it, and then upload to SCORM Cloud for testing.

Does anyone have tips for local development to efficiently test SCORM API interactions and ensure everything works correctly without the need for online uploads?

I’ve consistently opted for the third method described in this guide: link. It runs on a local web server, making it quick to test and refine.

That seems ideal! The article does mention it hasn’t been updated in a while. Have you encountered any issues while using it?

Yeah, Claude Ostyn, the creator, has passed away. However, it still works fine for me.

I recall a coworker using a tool called SCOverseer for testing SCORM, but I don’t have personal experience with it myself.

The main tools are Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate. Of course, there are others. I’d be pleased to walk you through the basics of SCORM if you need one. After that, you can start looking for your client’s ideal answer. Would you like to talk? DM me.
