Hey everyone… I’ve been out of college for a couple of years, and after having one of those early 20 life crisis moments, I want to get back into school. I’m curious if anyone here has experience with the online Psych program at Thomas Edison University. Is it accredited? Will grad schools accept the credits? What’s the workload like, and how are the professors? Also, did anyone find research opportunities to get those hours? I don’t really have adult guidance in my life, so any help or advice would mean a lot. Thanks in advance!
I looked into TEU for my psychology degree, and yes, it’s accredited. A lot of grad schools recognize their credits. It’s important to check with the specific schools you’re interested in, though.
That’s good to know! Thanks for the info. What was your experience with the workload?
The professors I had were really helpful and responsive. The workload is manageable, especially if you stay organized. You just have to stay on top of assignments.
Awesome, that makes it sound less daunting! Did you find any research opportunities while studying?
I didn’t find many research opportunities through the university, but I reached out to local schools and community organizations. Networking helped a lot.
That’s a great idea! I’ll definitely try that. Thanks for sharing!
I had a positive experience overall. Just keep in mind that being online requires self-discipline. If you can manage that, you should be fine!
Thanks for the encouragement! I appreciate it.
If you’re worried about guidance, don’t hesitate to reach out to advisors at TEU. They’re there to help you navigate everything!
I’ll definitely reach out. Thank you for the suggestion!
