Hello everyone, I have been doing e-learning for ten years, and I am fully capable of maintaining an LMS and producing multimedia content. My dream has always been to start my own company and provide companies with a range of e-learning programs.
Does anyone have any prior experience with this? In the UK, perhaps? I assume that for your work to be considered worthy, you must develop connections with experts or SNES and make sure they have some sort of certification linked to them.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I believe it would be a fantastic endeavor for me in the future, and I would like to gather a team to create interesting content. Microlearning, hopefully.

I’ve been doing this as a side project, and my biggest tip is to find your niche. For me, after some research, I discovered that my niche was in e-learning and interactive e-book study aids for professional exams.
I admit I’ve been a bit lazy with them and haven’t done any active marketing. Despite this, over the past ten years, these projects have provided me with a decent holiday every year. Maybe it’s time to release updated editions and give them a proper marketing push.
On another note, I currently manage an LMS with around 800 courses. Most of these have been developed in-house, with only about 10% outsourced to external development companies. The only courses we’ve bought are health and safety ones.
When I needed to purchase courses for other organizations, I noticed that most offerings were subpar. The ones that stood out were those that offered customization to meet the organization’s specific needs.
