Stanford university free online courses with certificates

Do Stanford courses hold value on a resume? I spoke with a professor who mentioned that while these courses are widely publicized, they primarily benefit Stanford in their recruitment efforts, and certificates hold minimal significance from an employer’s standpoint. He also noted that certain beginner to intermediate courses may not necessarily require the expertise of renowned instructors and could be seen as more of a superficial addition.

Stanford courses, depending on how they are shown, can be useful on a resume. Even if credentials might not mean much in some fields, knowledge and abilities can still be useful. You can show that you are committed to learning and development by emphasising how the course material relates to your professional objectives and emphasising real-world applications in your interview and resume writing. Have you thought about how to present these classes to highlight their importance and relevance?
