Searching for a Storyline 360 substitute

As a science teacher at a middle school, I’m now trying to figure out how to turn lab instructions into fully interactive online experiences. After some investigation, I believe Storyline 360 would be ideal; however, I lack the annual funds of $1000. Exist any less expensive options? Even better, no-cost substitutes?

Perhaps not quite what you’re looking for, but kindly, I would be happy to provide you with several of the interactive parts at no cost. Virtual reality tours would be handled by Kuula. Until it is completely phased out, the slightly less expensive but still functional version is called Captivate (classic). I’m not sure there’s a perfect fit if the 360 is all you’re looking for with the ability to connect to an LMS and provide feedback.

Additionally, I would suggest Captivate Classic, which is more affordable and feature-rich. Since they are still debugging the current version, I am not personally persuaded that the new version will be able to replicate all of the capabilities of that Classic edition in the near future. I assisted a physician in Austria in utilizing 360° presentations that included pictures and video for new medical staff orientations at their facility. Be aware that although version 12 does not currently allow for the inclusion of 360° slides, you are still permitted to use it with the same license. The fact that the new version only generates responsive projects is most likely the cause.
