I have a question about Alison courses and their certificates. Do I need to buy them? If I apply to an employer, do I need to have the hard copy of the certificate with me?
You only ‘need’ to buy them if you think it will really help in a job application. An online digital copy is fine (you can print it out). But keep in mind, Alison certificates/diplomas are not accredited. They can show that you learned a skill, but that’s not always enough on its own.
Wow!! I want to be a Nurse and a Caregiver, so I will definitely try the more recognized platforms like what you’ve suggested. Thanks!!
If you want to be a nurse or caregiver, an online certificate might not be sufficient. You’ll need proper training. Volunteering at a hospital or clinic can provide real experience and better job prospects.
Thanks for that great advice!!
I like the content of Alison’s Teaching English as a Foreign Language course. It’s quite comprehensive.
So if I don’t buy the certificate, will it still be valuable on my resume if I mention the courses?
Mentioning the courses can add value, but be ready to explain what you learned. Employers might want more than just a course name.
Always better to have the hard copy if you can afford it. It shows commitment and can make a difference in some hiring processes.
For nursing, hands-on experience is key! Consider doing internships or shadowing professionals in the field.
I appreciate all the insights! I’ll definitely look into volunteer opportunities as well.
