I’ve been using Moodle for my online courses, but I’m running into a lot of issues that are becoming pretty frustrating. It feels clunky and not as user-friendly as I hoped it would be.
I’m starting to think it might be time to explore other Learning Management Systems (LMS). Does anyone have recommendations for platforms that are more intuitive and reliable? I’m looking for something that will make course management easier and enhance the learning experience for my students.
If you’re considering switching from Moodle, Canvas is a popular choice with a more modern and user-friendly interface. Google Classroom is another straightforward option, especially if you’re already using other Google tools, though it’s a bit simpler in terms of features. Schoology offers a good balance between functionality and ease of use, with a clean interface and strong support for collaboration. I’d suggest exploring demos or free trials of these platforms to see which one fits best with your teaching style and enhances the learning experience for your students.
There will always be trade-offs and no LMS will be flawless. Have you examined the library of plugins? There are numerous methods available for expanding your installation.
Must you act as your own host? Although it would be more expensive, using a partner server in the cloud would ensure uptime support.
