Looking for a tool to create quick step by step guides

Hey everyone! My team creates systems training and we’re on the hunt for a tool that can capture each step in a system demo from a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and turn it into a step by step guide. We want something that lets the SME run through a live demo while capturing screenshots at each click and summarizing the instructions based on their commentary. We recently had a demo from Confidence but it didn’t impress us. Any recommendations would be awesome!

I’ve had my eye on Scribe but haven’t used it yet. Seems promising!

Thanks, will check it out!

Second vote for Scribe. It really does what you need. There are others out there, but Scribe is the best.

Great to hear! I’ll give it a try.

Articulate Storyline screen recording is what we use for SME capture and for creating demos. It has a try-and-test mode too.

We use Storyline as well. It’s pretty solid.

Check out Learnie. You can do video, screen record, or upload images, plus embed the learning in other websites like a YouTube embed code.

Nice, will have a good look. Thanks :+1:t3:

Supademo or Arcade could work too!

Thanks for the suggestions!

Can you help me understand if the screenshots are for mobile apps or desktop? Based on that, I can suggest different tools.

Have you looked at WhatFix? It might fit your needs.

I’d check out Learnie. It has great desktop capture support.

Check out Tapflow!

I believe TechSmith SnagIt has templates to automate that for guides. Or you could use Camtasia for screen recordings.
