The time to create your online course depends on its size and depth, ranging from 5 to 100 lessons. Managing all aspects yourself takes longer but is feasible with effort, while outsourcing can speed up tasks like video editing and website setup. Prior experience in filming and editing helps, but skills can be learned. Regular, focused time dedication accelerates progress, even if part-time. For reference, it took me only 80 hours to create my first course.

I created a virtual course. It took a lot of work at first. However, it’s now quite profitable. I charge $299 for it. I spent roughly three months organizing, filming, editing, and uploading. However, it was worthwhile.
To be honest, though, I already had a little advantage because I had experience with editing and videography.

Content creation that is interesting, educational, and engaging is a must for those who produce online courses. One difficulty is the enormous volume of content required to fully address the subject. It also involves not only creating content but also editing, organizing and marketing the course. However, once the course is created, it can be a valuable asset that generates passive income.
