How good is the education program at WGU

Hi everyone! I’m checking out the education program at WGU because I love the idea of a ‘work at your own pace’ style. I’ve heard great things about their tech degrees, but I’m curious about the education program specifically. Has anyone here taken any education track at WGU? What’s the quality like? Any employment opportunities after graduation? Just wondering if there’s a stigma around online universities, but I’m totally okay with it. Thanks a lot for any insights!

I did my BS in computer science through WGU. The coursework wasn’t too tough, and I found it pretty convenient. I was working in the field before I graduated!

That’s awesome! What about the education program though? Is it similar in terms of support and job opportunities?

@TomHenry
I think so! The students are really welcoming and there are Facebook and Discord groups for support. Professors are helpful too.

I’m currently in the education program at WGU. It’s been a solid experience, and I feel prepared for teaching once I graduate.

That’s great to hear! Do you think employers look at WGU degrees favorably?

@TomHenry
Honestly, it varies. Some may not know it well, but I think if you can show what you’ve learned, it helps a lot.

I’ve heard mixed things about WGU’s education program. Some say it’s great, others are not so sure. I’d love to know more!

Same! I’m trying to gather as much info as possible. Anyone else have thoughts?

I think the stigma is fading. Employers are starting to recognize online degrees more, especially from WGU.

That’s good to know! I just want to make sure I’m making a wise choice for my future.

I loved my time at WGU! The flexibility was key for me, and I landed a teaching job right after graduation.
