How do you handle e-learning content... any tips?

I’m really curious about how everyone is dealing with e-learning content creation and hosting. Do you guys export to your LMS or use a vendor’s platform? I’d love to hear your experiences and what you think works best!

We mostly export to our LMS. It’s nice because everything is in one place. But sometimes, it can be a hassle to manage updates.

I totally get that. Updating stuff can be a pain. Have you ever thought about using a vendor that hosts too?

@BrianJames1
Yeah, but I worry about losing control over the content. What do you think?

We use a vendor that hosts and creates content. It’s super easy for our learners, but I feel like we’re a bit limited in customization.

That’s interesting. I always thought hosting would give more flexibility. What kind of limitations do you face?

@Amir
Mainly in how we can design the courses. Sometimes it feels too cookie-cutter, you know?

I agree with GHI. I think having someone else host is easier, but I do miss the custom touch we had before.

So, are you saying it’s all about balance? Like, ease vs. customization?

I’m just starting out, so I’m not sure what to choose. Can anyone explain the difference between exporting and using a hosted platform?

Sure! Exporting means you create the content and load it into your LMS. Hosting means the vendor does it all on their platform. Hope that helps!
