I’m diving into some research for a client in the eLearning space, and I keep hearing that Training Admins are struggling to get learners to complete their training courses. What do you think are the best ways to boost those completion rates? Any tips or insights would be super helpful.
Honestly, aiming for 100% completion might be a stretch. Unless there’s serious consequences like getting fired, I’d say shoot for about 95%. It’s all about relationships! Maybe get managers involved to help keep their teams accountable.
I have to say, reminders are key. We CC the manager in reminders to make sure everyone’s on the same page. It creates a sense of urgency for sure.
Also, making the courses engaging is super important. No one wants to sit through boring PowerPoints. Storytelling can really help with that!
I mean, if they don’t want to complete it, maybe fire them? Just kidding… but seriously, people need some motivation!
I read an article about this that had some great tips. It’s called ‘Help, I can’t make them finish their training!’—check it out if you want more insights.
