How can I enable offline viewing of Litmos content on tablets?
I’m posting here because this subreddit frequently discusses Litmos, and I’m hoping for some assistance. At my company, we use Litmos, but I’m frustrated by its limitations. Since people often travel and spend a lot of time on planes, it would be ideal to catch up on training content during these periods.
However, it seems there’s an issue with the platform’s flexibility:
Windows/Mac: No app available, so offline downloads aren’t possible due to content restrictions.
Tablets: There’s no SSO support for the tablet app, which is confusing. Users can’t use their tablets effectively, and the browser isn’t a viable solution when a native app is available.
Phones: SSO works but only through a cumbersome web login that redirects to the Litmos native iOS app.
In summary: How can I enable offline viewing of Litmos training content on tablets for users who need it while traveling, especially salespeople?
Hey there, I totally get your frustration. From what I know, Litmos doesn’t currently support offline viewing on tablets due to the lack of SSO integration. It seems like a significant oversight, especially for those who travel frequently. A workaround could be using a tablet with a hotspot and accessing Litmos through a web browser if possible. You might also want to contact Litmos support directly to see if they have any upcoming updates or beta features that address this issue. Good luck.
Hi, I’m in a similar boat with Litmos and offline viewing. Unfortunately, the platform doesn’t offer much flexibility here. One thing you could try is downloading the training content on a phone with SSO enabled and then using it offline. Another option is to look into third-party tools or apps that might let you save the content from the web for offline access. Definitely reach out to Litmos support and let them know about this gap they might prioritize it if they get enough feedback.
Hello, It’s frustrating when tech tools don’t meet our needs, especially for something as crucial as offline access. I’d suggest trying to use a mobile hotspot to access Litmos on a tablet, though it’s not a perfect solution. Additionally, checking out Litmos’s support forums or reaching out to their customer service might yield some tips or solutions from other users who faced the same issue. They might have updates or workarounds you haven’t come across yet.
