Finding a good e-learning tool for small business

Hello everyone,

I’m searching for a training platform to centralize information and streamline training for my 30 employees. It should include quizzes and allow us to track progress, all within a moderate budget.

Our veterinary clinic employs four types of staff: Animalists, receptionists, technicians, and veterinarians. The current focus of our videos is on using appointment and customer management software, which is crucial to our operations.

The e-learning platform aims to establish a standardized knowledge system. New employees will undergo initial computer-based training followed by mentor-led sessions, ensuring consistent training across all roles and reducing errors.

However, as a small company, we are mindful of budget constraints.

Thank you.

Rise might work. Create training courses, add quizzes, and monitor employee performance. $399 per month. I am not sure how that fits into your budget.

For your veterinary clinic, considering your need for centralized training with quizzes and progress tracking on a budget, I’d recommend looking into platforms like Moodle, Teachable, or even Google Classroom. These tools offer robust features for creating courses, including quizzes, progress tracking, and user management. They’re user-friendly and scalable, making them suitable for standardizing knowledge across roles while keeping costs manageable.

Yeah, I agree. Another idea, depending on how busy your team is, could be to set up a wiki. Not everything you’ve got necessarily needs an LMS for courses and tracking—it might just need a place to live.

Rise is perfect for that. If you’ve got content ready and just need to see who’s checked it out, it’s probably cheaper with a yearly license.
I’m not too familiar with other LMS options out there, but with your small team, you should find something affordable.
