Hi there, I’m trying to decide between Elucidat and Articulate Storyline as a course authoring tool. I see plenty of posts about Articulate but barely anything about Elucidat and I’d love to see if anyone has experienced both and could talk about which they prefer? I’m trying the Elucidat free trial at the moment and I’m finding it very intuitive and it makes for some pretty courses. My main concern is the price tag - it seems a fair bit more than everything else.
I have never used Elucidat but I am very skilled in SL and Captivate. I learned that if I had a problem, would there be support to help me? If the software is buggy, would there be devs ready to solve it? Look at total time or cost to complete projects. If you can build faster in one, lean towards that since you will save money.
Really good advice thanks - that’s a good way of looking at it. The cost of Elucidat makes things a little tighter but it does feel quick to use for a beginner like me, so I could justify paying the extra.
If you are seeing a lot about SL and very little about Elucidat, you’ve found your answer.
Have you seen Evolve Authoring? It’s worth a look. It is £24 a month for unlimited published courses and works with SCORM, xAPI, and most LMSs.
