Do you repurpose your eLearning content?

Hi everyone!

I’m curious about how many of you repurpose your eLearning content and what methods you find most effective.

Some popular methods include converting courses and ebooks into short videos, articles, blog posts and social media posts. Each format can appeal to various learning preferences and keep your content engaging and up-to-date.

Have you tried any of these methods? What has worked best for you?

Books or ebooks are great because of several benefits…1) A book, esp. a physical book sold online, enhances your credibility as a trainer; 2) a book makes what your teaching press worthy, meaning you can get free PR for your course through your book; 3) it gives you an upsell product to go with your course.

That’s not to diminish the fact that here’s value in chunking the content into bite sized pieces for your marketing purposes as well.

Do research on what people search for related to your course, then pull juicy sound bites from your course for youtube videos, social media reels, blog posts, etc. The best way is to brainstorm what are some frequently asked questions related to the course content. Then answer those questions and make sure it loops back into a pitch for the course.

Thanks for sharing these great points! I hadn’t considered how a book could improve credibility and offer PR opportunities. The idea of using it as an upsell product is also great.

How do you usually transform your eBooks into bite-sized pieces for marketing purposes?

Excellent ideas to leverage the content on multiple platforms. You might also consider AI to help you to rewrite content for different media and different audiences. I tried with “consider XYZ (description of your course content) and propose the structure of a YouTube video”. This often gives a great first idea you can then work on.

Thanks for the detailed explanation! I really like the idea of focusing on frequently asked questions, then you know exactly what people want to know more about.

I’m curious, do you use any specific tools to help with this process and which social media platforms do you typically share your content on?

Also, is transforming course content into bite-sized pieces for marketing a common practice among course creators and educators?

Do you have any hands-on experience how to go from elearning to physical book. I’m more acquainted with the other way around :joy:
