Comparison between LMS365 and Microsoft and Viva Learning

I’m part of a team responsible for organizing our company’s training content, which now serves a team of 50 people. Our training materials are currently in various formats such as videos, how-to guides, and PowerPoint presentations. We’re seeking a solution to consolidate and structure these materials into learning pathways, courses, quizzes, etc.

Given our reliance on Microsoft products like Teams and Outlook, our initial focus was on LMS365 due to its integration with Teams. However, we’ve recently learned about Viva Learning, and upon researching it, I’m struggling to discern the differences between the two systems. From what I gather, both LMS365 and Viva Learning offer similar functionalities, but LMS365 leans towards class creation while Viva Learning focuses more on content repository and learning pathways, although they are capable of performing each other’s tasks. Moreover, it seems Viva Learning can accommodate LMS365 courses, but I’m unsure why this might be preferable to solely utilizing Viva Learning for course creation. Am I overlooking something significant?

Ultimately, our goal is to provide our staff with easier access to training content and enable our managers to track individuals’ training progress. Ideally, this solution would seamlessly integrate with Teams, SharePoint, or potentially other platforms like Monday.com or Factorial, which we also utilize. Thank you in advance for any insights you can offer!

hi sister the good news is that LMS365 integrates with Microsoft Viva Learning. This allows you to create and manage your courses in LMS365, which will then be seamlessly displayed within Viva Learning for your users to access alongside other learning resources.

I’ve been diving into LMS365 and Microsoft Viva Learning,

and here’s the gist in plain English:

Imagine LMS365 as a comprehensive course creator’s toolkit within Microsoft 365. You can build classes, track progress, and manage certificates. It’s like having your learning studio in the cloud.

On the other hand, Viva Learning acts like a central hub for all your learning content. It pulls in courses from LMS365, LinkedIn Learning (think Lynda.com), and external sources. It’s like a one-stop shop to discover and access all the learning resources your company offers. Plus, it integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Teams, making it easy to learn on the go.

Here’s a breakdown of the key differences:

Focus: LMS365 excels in building and managing courses, while Viva Learning brings everything together for easy access and discovery.
Content Creation: LMS365 allows you to create new courses from scratch, while Viva Learning focuses on curating existing content.
Integration: Both integrate with Microsoft 365, but Viva Learning takes it a step further by seamlessly blending with Teams for a more unified learning experience.

So, which one to choose?

If you need a powerful course creation tool: Go for LMS365.
Viva Learning is your answer if you want a central hub to access and discover all learning resources.

The good news? They can work together! You can create courses in LMS365 and then integrate them into Viva Learning for easy access by your team.

Here’s an analogy: Think of LMS365 as your kitchen where you cook delicious meals (courses). Viva Learning is a beautiful
ly organized pantry (content hub) where everyone can find and enjoy those meals (learning resources) easily.

Ultimately, the best choice depends on your specific needs. But with both LMS365 and Viva Learning, you’ve got a powerful combo to keep your team learning and growing!

Viva learning is an aggregator of LMS content in one repository. It is not an LMS. Lms365 has a toggle where you can add it directly to Viva, this is helpful for organizations that have multiple LMS’. Lms365 has deep integration with LinkedIn learning and Go1 meaning you can instant import a course from those other content libraries. Viva cannot hold scorm packages or create courses, you will still need an LMS for that. Source: we have lms365 and Viva. Also lms365 is way better than even a couple years ago, now one of the top LMS’ in our book after they received 20 million from an investor and put it to use.
