Hello, I am a master’s student studying math education right now.
As part of my study for my thesis, I intend to experiment with blended learning in math classes. There are so many open source learning management system solutions that I have looked at. Do you guys have any recommendations for LMSs?
By the way, I am from a third-world nation, therefore paying in dollars will be quite expensive, so I have very little money. Thus, I would prefer a free LMS.
hi emma listen the best option is tis package, its ,highly customizable and packed with features, it excels in complex learning environments. With a vast community and numerous plugins for added functionality, it offers extensive options. However, the interface might be somewhat challenging for beginners.
Open edX, favored by renowned institutions such as MIT and Harvard, stands as another prominent choice. Renowned for its emphasis on crafting top-tier, interactive learning environments, Open edX proves ideal for organizations seeking a platform tailored to developing captivating online courses.
As an instructor who has used both Moodle and Canvas, I much prefer Canvas. It is so much easier for me, a non-technical user to build my classes in Canvas. It has been quite a while since I used Moodle though so I don’t know if it has improved.
As an instructor who has used both Moodle and Canvas, I find Canvas much easier to use. I’m not very technical, but I find it simpler to build my classes in Canvas compared to Moodle. It’s been a while since I last used Moodle, so I’m not sure if it has gotten better since then.
