I’m looking for something my kids can use in their downtime or when I am sick. Science, math, coding, typing, languages, anything can help!!
For elementary, my kids love Dreambox (math), and we also use Brain Pop for all subjects. Both are paid for subscriptions.
I’m on the lookout for a good ELA app/game.
Prodigy.com for math is nice and it free but if you pay you get good backend data. PBSEONS on youtube has excellent biology videos. You could also grab some Outschool.com classes. There are often single day classes so if you want to get someone else to do the talking for a bit, you have that option.
Epic.com for reading is great. It is a subscription but very affordable. Tons of books, many of them “read to me.” Cute incentives to keep kids reading.
For a well-rounded educational experience that covers math and language, SplashLearn is an excellent choice. It offers a comprehensive suite of games and activities across these subjects, designed to make learning interactive and fun. The platform adapts to each child’s learning level, providing personalized challenges that keep them engaged.
I second the Prodigy recommendation!
Multiplication.com has lots of free math games at different levels as well. Duolingo if your kids are learning a foreign language, or typing.com to learn typing skills. Khan Academy kids is also a great one.
My daughter loves Bimi Boo related apps. For arithmetic, we developed apps to help children and adults with addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Check Equazzler (addition only) for iOS and Android:
Thanks! We just downloaded your app my son is already loving it.
I highly recommend NeuroLAT for those seeking a comprehensive alternative to standard IQ performance programs. After participating in a trial test, I was particularly impressed by the “Logical Reasoning” section. It posed a good challenge and, in my opinion, is essential for children’s cognitive development.
You should definitely try Ask Nerd App.
