Best course for mastering advanced grammar and punctuation?

I’m a native English speaker, but I struggle a lot with writing, especially in my corporate emails. I usually find myself asking others what to write, and I’d like to improve my grammar and punctuation for work and in general. Anyone know of a course that goes really deep into advanced grammar and punctuation?

You might want to try Grammarly! It’s a tool rather than a course, but it’s super helpful for real-time corrections and suggestions. Plus, it explains why each correction is made, so you can learn as you go.

I’ve heard of Grammarly, but never thought of it as a learning tool. I’ll definitely give it a try, thanks!

I’d suggest looking into ‘Business Writing Essentials’ courses or even checking out some books focused on business English. They often cover formal email writing, which sounds like what you need!

Thanks, sounds like I could use that for sure! Do you know of any good business writing courses specifically?

If you want online courses, Udemy and Coursera have solid options under ‘business communication’ or ‘advanced English.’ Might be worth checking those out!

I’d also look into books that cover higher-level grammar topics. Sometimes courses are too broad, but books let you go in-depth at your own pace. Check out ‘Advanced Grammar in Use’ by Martin Hewings.

Great suggestion! I’ll look that up. I feel like I need something that I can go back to, so a book sounds perfect.

Have you thought about courses aimed at ESL (English as a Second Language) students? Even though you’re a native speaker, they cover a lot of advanced grammar and punctuation rules.

Interesting idea! I hadn’t considered ESL-focused materials but that might actually work. I’ll give it a look.

For corporate emails, concise writing is key. Maybe try a specific business writing course on LinkedIn Learning? They have ones focused on formal email writing and grammar.

Thanks, LinkedIn Learning could be perfect since it’s geared toward professional skills. I’ll look into it!
